Choose a Clear, High-Quality Photo
Just like printing a picture, the quality of the final embroidery depends on the quality of the original photo.
We'd recommend uploading a nice clear photo that's well-lit and where your main subject is clear. High-res images let our designers zoom in on the important details and high contrast images with plain backgrounds are usually the best to work with - and black and white photos can work too if the subject is still clear.
Don't worry if your favourite photo wasn't taken on a professional camera. Most modern smartphone photos provide excellent quality, provided they aren't blurry or heavily cropped.

Every design is individually reviewed by our in-house team before production begins. If we feel another image would create a better result, we'll contact you with our recommendations. In the rare event that a photograph isn't suitable for embroidery, we'll simply ask you to upload an alternative so we can achieve the highest possible quality.
